We've been wanting to go to Manila Ocean Park since it opened early this year. But one, it was expensive; and two, we've been hearing reviews that the facilities were nowhere near complete and it would be wiser if we check it out later. But Sky Cable Fun Club made me an offer I could not refuse: free tickets for the first 90 callers.
I'm a sucker for all things free. I love, love freebies. I called, and I found out that I was entitled to four tickets. So this morning -- Rain, Yuan, his favorite playmate Ate Therese, and I -- went to the oceanarium. Pen drove us there and picked us up later. He couldn't come with us because the church had an all-day activity for kids at the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Nature Center.
I have been to Singapore's Underwater World at Sentosa eight years ago. I was amazed by their oceanarium. But may I just say that Manila Ocean Park is bigger, and given time, much, much better. MOP is far from finished, constructions are still underway. From what I've seen and heard, it would be the biggest of its kind in Asia.
It's a nice place for kids to visit. And adults, too.
For our part, it was doubly fun because Sky Cable even provided free food, lots of goodies, and games for the kids.
We took more than a hundred images.
